In case you didn’t realize, Thanksgiving is happening this week and we hope you’ll be spending it with family and loved ones. That’s why we’re going to be closed all day on Thursday. We’re also closing early on Wednesday, at 4pm. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause our customers, but we believe that Thanksgiving is one day of the year that families and friends should absolutely spend together.
On the other hand, we do hope you’ll join us for the two days after Thanksgiving. We’ve got fun things planned for both Black Friday and Small Business Saturday, as these days have come to be known.
Like a lot of merchants on Friday we are opening early, but no door-busters or big crowds for us. What we offer is a quieter, calmer Black Friday experience. If you need a break from shopping and shoppers and stress, we’ll have free coffee and pastries starting at 8am so that you have a place to get away from all the craziness for a bit.
Supporting local business is important in so many ways and this Saturday we hope you’ll show some support for all your favorite local businesses, and of course we hope that includes Encore Books. We’ll again have coffee and pastries for you…. free… plus free balloons for the kids. As a special bonus we have free canvas tote bags for everyone that spends $20 or more (while supplies last). This is the perfect time to pick up some holiday gifts… maybe some gift certificates? And of course we’ll have all your favorite books and everything else that makes us one of your favorite local businesses.
So please stay home and enjoy your turkey dinner with your loved ones on Thursday, and please, if you are out shopping on Friday and Saturday, consider stopping in at Encore Books to say hello.
